Trucking Company Turnaround

Background

This privately held asset based refrigerated trucking company (operating principally east of the Rocky Mountains) typically generated $50 million in annual revenue. The company was founded in 1991 and had several good years, but saw operating losses of $1.2 million and $1.1 million the years prior to engaging Linq’s services.

Linq Approach

We aggressively reviewed the entire operations and processes of the company. The Linq team assessed management, including ownership, and provided training and strategic direction. We ultimately recruited, trained, and cultivated a new management team, restructured all asset purchase agreements, implemented a solid operating platform with new technology, and implemented on-board communications with each truck.


Results

Within 14 months, the client went from an operating loss of $1.2 million to a $1.6 million profit. In the year that followed, the company’s profits increased to $2 million.
